Elmer Williams

Louisiana artist Herman Ferrell was fortunate to find the old wooden shrimp boat Elmer Williams. The Elmer Williams is one of the oldest working wooden shrimp boats, and one of the few Biloxi style wooden boat hulls Ferrell had found. From what Ferrell had been told, this style wooden shrimp boat was designed and built in Biloxi, Miss., thus, Biloxi hull. At one time In south Louisiana and all along the southern coastal states, a great number of these wooden Biloxi hull shrimp boats and other wooden fishing boats could be found. Ferrell is known for his wooden boats. The original painting is a watercolor on paper 11"X 15". The signed & numbered limited edition print with (950) prints
